About us
We are a team of UWE MArch II students collaborating for our Design Studio projects.

The central theme for our projects is Urbanism with a particular focus on human health, adopting the widely accepted World Health Organisation (WHO) definition of health as: “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”.

The Urbanism unit analyses the production of space; how cities are created, modified, destroyed and reproduced. At the heart of this production are issues of power, culture, identity and knowledge. Our projects will address how the contemporary city might respond to these issues; particularly examining from a perspective of human health.

During the first semester the team worked together to collate relevant and inspiring precedents, build a repository for medical and academic evidence related to health and the built environment, create engaging and insightful info-graphics and undertake/ represent extensive site analysis. Each member of the team was assigned a different role to complete these tasks.
