MArch II Student

I am personally interested in the relationship between how cultural, social, and political forces influence the contemporary cities in which we inhabit, and how an individual/group is shaped; either positively or negativity, by their context. Focusing within this framework, I am specifically interested in our engagement with the city and the personal control that is provided or limited from this interaction.

I hope this year to examine the fragmentation of public spaces, and the presence of control strategies like that of CCTV, commodification and privatisation within these spaces, while also researching the function of technology and material elements that look towards the development of a demographic city.
