My current interests are focused around density within urban design and community resilience. As the world’s cities are under increasing pressure to cater for the requirements of the escalating numbers in need of key resources, the evolving city needs a drastic reaction to inform the change which is essential in improving the lives of those in which inhabit them. There is a disconnection between community through the current neo-liberal system in which social and economic disparity have increased escalating the void between the wealthy and impoverished.

Over the next academic year, I will seek to form an agenda where the urban landscape can be used as a tool for enablement and self-sufficiency. A particular avenue of interest is within subcultures moulded within this framework and subsequent informal settlements created through reactionary design; counter acting limited resources.
