Seoullo 7017 Skygarden

The Seoullo 7017 is a pedestrian walkway that was renovated from an existing 1970s highway. The 983-metre walkway runs over the top of Seoul Station to connect Namdaemun Market with the city’s Malli-dong, Jungnim-dong and Cheongpa-dong neighbourhoods.
Aiming to serve as an “urban nursery” with plants and trees grown on Seoullo 7017, it also acts as a connection network in the city, to connect the ground with hotels, shops and all patches of green in the wider area. To contrast with the yellow-tone in the city, blue lighting surrounding the planters illuminate the walkway at nighttime. Lighting colours can also be adapted to suit different events.
